Sintieh Nchinda Ngek Ekongefeyin, MD, MSc

Biography

Sintieh Nchinda Ngek Ekongefeyin earned his medical degree from the University of Buea, Cameroon. After five years of clinical practice, he pursued an MSc in Applied Digital Health at the University of Oxford. He then worked as a research fellow at the Nuffield Department of Medicine, University of Oxford, focusing on the digital transformation of healthcare in Africa. Additionally, he served as Venture Manager for Digital Health and Medtech at the London Institute for Healthcare Engineering (LIHE), King’s College London, where he collaborated with clinicians, researchers, and innovators on technology transfer into NHS England.

In September 2024, Sintieh joined Prof. Viktor von Wyl’s team as a Digital Society Initiative (DSI) PhD scholarship recipient. His research centers on the digital transformation of healthcare research and systems, particularly for individuals with chronic diseases in low-resource settings. As a member of the DSI Excellence Cohort, he is involved in interdisciplinary projects exploring the intersection of technology and healthcare.
