Prof. Dr. Viktor von Wyl appointed Associate Professor of Digital and Mobile Health
Viktor von Wyl holds a PhD in Epidemiology from ETH Zurich and a Master’s degree in Biology from the University of Basel. Since October 2014, he has served as Director of the Swiss Multiple Sclerosis Registry at the Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Prevention Institute (EBPI) at the University of Zurich. In April 2020, he was appointed Assistant Professor of Digital and Mobile Health, with affiliation at the Institute for Implementation Science in Health Care (IfIS). Since October 2023, he has also been a member of the Directorate of the Swiss School of Public Health (SSPH+).
His research focuses on the usefulness and impact of novel technologies — including sensors and algorithms — for health research and epidemiology. At IfIS, he and his team made important contributions to digital health and implementation science.
Following his appointment, Prof. Dr. Viktor von Wyl will be joining the EBPI. He will also continue his strong collaborations in research and teaching with the #IfIS teams. We thank him sincerely for his commitment and valuable contributions and wish him every success in the future.
