Alina Merschroth completed her vocational training as a registered nurse in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, before earning a Bachelor of Arts in Management in Health Care and in Nursing Education from the Catholic University of Applied Sciences Freiburg. She received her Master of Science in Nursing Science from the University of Freiburg in 2020 and completed a Master of Business Administration in General Management at Allensbach University in 2026.

After several years of clinical practice in psychiatric nursing and working as a nurse educator, she served as a Research Assistant and Project Lead in the Directorate of Nursing, Therapies and Social Work at the Psychiatric University Hospital Zurich from 2022 to 2026. Since June 2026, she has been a doctoral student in the Implementation Science in Nursing research group at the University of Zurich and University Hospital Zurich.

Her research focuses on implementation science and the development, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based nursing interventions. Since 2020, she has also been a guest lecturer at the Institute of Nursing Science, University of Freiburg.
